Thanksgiving conversations, 1

Regarding my Thanksgiving day travel experience (I spent nearly half of the day in transit... the first half):

INT. AN AUNT AND UNCLE'S HOUSE - AFTERNOON

In the background, VARIOUS RELATIVES (mostly male) watch the glorified talking box as the Detroit Lions lose spectacularly to whoever they are playing. No one really cares about the Lions game — for different reasons (playoff scenarios, old loyalties, old rivalries, etc.), they care about the one that will follow.

How crowded were the airports?

O'Hare was less crowded than I expected, although the lines for Starbucks were about three times as long. But then again, almost everyone needs caffeine in order to function at 5:30 am.
