Laughter Inciting Link: Thesis Titles

Piled Higher and Deeper presents a guide to naming your thesis or dissertation. This formula works exceedingly well for titling any academic paper, though. It's funny because it's accurate. The only things I'd add to the guide are tips on how enclosing part of a word in parentheses* and employing alliteration are supposed to go a long way toward making a paper's title sound clever, although that can backfire easily and make the thing appear more pretentious than clever.

*In the humanities, anyway. I'm not sure if this (ab)use occurs much in other fields.
