Which literary villain do readers most love to hate?

Inquiring minds — and Bloomsbury — want to know. Click here to vote. The list of villians includes Mrs. Coulter, Lord Voldemort, Miss Trunchbull, the Grand High Witch, the White Witch, and Sauron, among many others. This is an extremely tough call: I am absolutely torn over who I loathe the most. After much deliberation, I think I have to go with Mrs. Coulter of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials. I'd award a very close second place to Sauron, the one and only lord of the rings, who does not share power.

Hat tip to the The Leaky Cauldron.
