Firefly happiness

I neglected to mention this earlier: Serenity won the Hugo award for Best Dramatic Presentation, Long Form! Joss Whedon wasn't there to read his cute and witty acceptance speech in person, however, so Morena Baccarin (that is, Inara) read it for him. That last link goes to a video of the speech at YouTube. Also, I feel obligated to inform you that the announcer at the Hugos pronounced Morena's last name wrong. It should be "Back-a-rin."

Jane Espenson, former Firefly writer, is also happy about the above, and then she proceeds to do some musing about science fiction. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is mentioned, albeit briefly.

On a related note, I have another link to a video that may be of interest to fellow Firefly/Serenity/Whedon fans. Think Mal, Inara, and a song from Moulin Rouge, and you have the general idea. It's amusing and, in my opinion, pretty well done. Found via Whedonesque.
