Defining the NFL

"The NFL is 32 dramas that play out over a 16-game season. Some of those dramas turn into comedic tragedies, much like the Oakland Raiders might morph into soon. Other teams turn into horror flicks, like what might happen to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if they don't get their offense straightened out. And yet other teams sustain a consistency throughout the season that lead them to a fairy-tale ending, much like the Pittsburgh Steelers last season." — Boomer Esiason.

Personally, I love the thought of the Raiders as a comedic tragedy. My second favorite football team is whoever their latest opponent happens to be, and I heartily congratulate San Diego for their absolute humiliation of the Raiders last weekend.
