Records I could have done without setting

This fall and winter have brought crazy amounts of snow and similar forms of precipitation (curse them, the freezing rainses and "wintry mix" — Sméagol is displeased) to my little university town, and today I set a new personal record for longest time spent scraping ice off my car so that I could actually see out through the windshield and front windows. There was so much ice on the car, the windows were looking almost opaque. Currently, having just come in from the cold feeling very numb and kind of sore, I am sitting on the couch trying to thaw myself out and fantasizing about having a garage someday.  Time to go make hot chocolate...
