Around the apartment building

Last night, I was transferring wet clothes from a washer to a dryer in the basement of my building when I noticed that there is a small, circular, old metal drain in the floor stamped with the letters ASCO.  This made me laugh.  Why, you ask?  Asco doesn't mean anything in English. In Spanish, however, the exclamation ¡qué asco! means gross! or disgusting!  A drain in the floor can often merit such a comment, although this one wasn't since, happily, the management takes pretty good care of the building.
